Writing and Editing
Web writing: One of the mantras of Web writing has been that "less is more." I guess that means everything needs to be put into a bulleted list...at least that's what it looks like some people believe. But I don't think it's true anymore. With faster Internet connections and more people printing the pages they find, writing for the Web just needs to be tighter, better organized, and get to the point immediately. Print Advertising: Everyone remembers the great magazine ads they've seen. Make yours memorable, too, with great copy.

Press Releases: This is just one of the areas I've worked in, and I've written press releases for Fortune 500 companies as well as local retailers. Click here to see my press release portfolio.

Internet Marketing: I have had experience from many angles in this area: from campaign writing and design to fulfillment and follow-up. Click here for some samples of the work I've done.

Rewriting: Many people consider this the same thing as original writing, but I think that's shortchanging its importance. For businesses in the Information Age, change is the only constant (how many clichés can I throw in here?). That means rewriting your existing brochures, manuals, and other business documents is as important as the initial publication. Click here to learn more about my rewriting services.

Proofreading
The official definition varies, but my interpretation of "proofreading" involves checking documents — either electronically or in hard copy format — for spelling, grammar, and consistency. This makes proofreading a subset of "copyediting."

"Copyediting" — in my mind — is a midway point between proofreading and editing. A copyeditor checks for spelling, grammar, and consistency, and also checks the document's internal logic.
